Shopping in Bangkok - the Lowdown

Wednesday March 26, 2008

How does shopping at a 35-acre retail complex sound to you? How would you like your shopping malls and markets all linked together by rail? How would you like to buy a GSM cellphone with a camera and Bluetooth for less than $150?

Apropos of this week’s article on Bangkok’s markets, we figured we’d show you how good shoppers have it in Thailand’s capital city. Sure, the famous Suan Lum Night Market is in limbo right now, but Thais (and you lucky tourists, you!) are still spoiled for choice despite the pending closure.

After all, Bangkok isn’t on people’s top ten shopaholics’ destinations for nothing!
