A Look Inside the Thalasso Bali Spa.

By April 16, 2012

You have to hand it to the Thalasso Bali Spa Thalasso Bali Spa in Tanjong Benoa, Bali - they've made the most out of their seaside location. The floors inside the spa are mostly sand, with stepping stones leading to each of the 22 themed spa rooms.

The Thalasso Bali Spa is located on the grounds of the Grand Mirage Resort in Tanjung Benoa. We discussed the Grand Mirage's "all-inclusive" stay in our last blog entry, and what it leaves out. The spa is not included in the all-inclusive package. If you're a guest and you don't have a voucher for a spa treatment, then walk in and order one if you have the budget for it; it's absolutely worth it.

In fact, the Thalasso Bali is one of the more prominent spas along Tanjung Benoa - it's only one of a handful of thalassotherapy spas in Bali, using actual seawater and sea-derived therapies in its menu of spa treatments. If you believe, as thalassotherapy proponents do, that seawater has all sorts of miraculous healing properties, then Thalasso Bali is for you.

The themed spa rooms have interesting motifs: the sandalwood room looks (and smells) paved with sandalwood, while the cinnamon dreams room is studded with cinnamon sticks. The cave room looks just like where Batgirl might retire for a Vichy shower after a long night of crimefighting.

The piece de resistance is the Thalasso Bali's signature Aquamedic Pool, which takes filtered seawater, heats it to a toasty 38°C, and propels it in jets for therapeutic use. Bubbles, streams, and jets provide a soothing hydromassage experience that caps off your Thalasso Bali experience.
