With an agreement signed by global attractions operator Merlin Entertainments Groups and LL Themed Hotel SdnBhd, the first Legoland Hotel in Southeast Asia is one step closer to reality. The new hotel will open at Nusajaya Johor in the first half of 2014, located adjacent to the new Legoland Theme Park.

As the first Legoland Hotel in Asia, the new Johor property will join the ranks of other Legoland Hotels in Billund (Denmark), Windsor (United Kingdom, pictured above) and a third one opening in California in 2013.

When it opens, the hotel will encourage families with young children to extend their visit to the resort, giving them proximate accommodations to make the most out of the two or three days necessary to make the most out of a visit to Legoland. From the hotel, guests can easily reach the theme park's interactive rides, live shows, building workshops, driving schools and attractions.

The unique Lego spirit about the property will be immediately apparent even before you enter the hotel.  From the hotel's scenic entrance down to the onsite restaurant and bar, the property will be full of the color and interactivity you expect from something stamped with the Lego name.

Families can choose from three types of themed bedroom - Pirate, Kingdom or Adventure - each with unique interactive features to keep kids occupied for hours (when they're not out enjoying the Legoland theme park).

Kids will love how their needs are designed right into the hotel's amenities, from low counters in the restaurant to treasure chests full of Lego bricks in the bedrooms.

"Not only will we be offering the highest quality modern hotel accommodation, but most importantly, our magical Legoland Hotels are the first ever hotels designed from a child's eye view," says Siegfried Boerst, General Manager of Legoland Malaysia. "The opening of the Malaysia Hotel in 2014 will also create an integrated destination resort experience for families, allowing them to spend longer quality time together exploring and enjoying the Legoland Malaysia offerings and the region."

Visitors will find the new Legoland Hotel easy to reach, either via the Senai International Airport at Johor Bahru (just 20 minutes away from the site) or from Singapore, only a ten-minute drive away via the Second Link Expressway.

Annual passes for Legoland Malaysia are already available through ticket outlets SISTIC and RedTix. For more information on Legoland Malaysia annual passes, visit the LEGOLAND Malaysia website at www.LEGOLAND.my or call +6 07 597 8888.
