The modern business/entertainment precinct of Marina Bay in Singapore has come a looong way since the 20th century: it's not simply a hotbed for Asian capitalism now (as part of Singapore's business district), it's also a remarkable tourist destination of its own, with the recent addition of the Singapore Flyer, the Marina Bay Sands, and the Gardens by the Bay.
