The Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta (compare rates|buy direct) welcomes the Year of the Water Snake with a delicious Chinese New Year celebration: kicking off on Chinese New Year's Eve, February 10, with a spectacular lion and dragon dance in the lobby, the succeeding days will be filled with a number of delicious feasts.

At Xin Hwa, the Mandarin Oriental's Chinese fine dining restaurant, a Chinese New Year package features festive delights intended to increase good fortune for their guests. The restaurant's lavish set menu treats guests to traditionally luck-enhancing dishes like Yu Shang, Xin Hwa's wood-charcoal roasted duck, and snowy skin Nian Gao dumplings.

The dishes will all be prepared under the watchful eye of Xin Hwa's Executive Chinese Chef Jeff Lee. To end the feast, guests receive an angpao red envelope for continued good fortune throughout the rest of the year. Xin Hwa's Chinese New Year set menu starts at IDR 588,000++ per person.
