Shopping in Singapore comes to a head every year, when the Great Singapore Sale rolls around. For one whole month, the island-wide mall that is Singapore goes on sale - retailers all over the country offer discounts of as much as 70% off!
Once a year, malls from Orchard Road to Chinatown deeply slash prices on all their goods. No product range is immune: fashion, jewelry, watches and consumer electronics are all covered, and neither budget nor luxury goods are spared!
Visitor Promotions. Apart from the lower prices, some key visitor promotions will be introduced - from shopping tours to exclusive tourist privileges at over 200 participating hotels, spas, restaurants, and tourist destinations.
Tourists can also apply for a Tourist Privilege Card at any Singapore Visitor Centre to get better deals on gourmet dining, spa packages, and nightlife. Tourist Privilege Card holders also get discounts on entrance fees at local attractions like the Singapore Zoo!
Late Night Shopping. Malls all over the island extend their shopping hours during the Great Singapore Sale. Extended shopping hours may run past midnight, but apply on selected weekends only.
Great Singapore Shopping Challenge. Count on Singapore to turn shopping into a spectator sport. From the sidewalk in front of Wisma Atria, some 30 teams with a limited amount of shopping money will race to designated locations, finding the best buys from specific product categories. Winning teams who finish in under 3 hours with the biggest savings will win SGD10,000! More details here: Great Singapore Shopping Challenge.
Great Singapore Feast. For the first time, participating premium restaurants will offer signature dishes at mouthwateringly low prices. Diners can enjoy Western, ethnic, and fusion dishes at a deep discount - a once-in-a-year event! More info here: Great Singapore Feast.
Club 21 Bazaar. From May 29 to 31, Club 21 offers extreme bargains on high fashion - imagine paying up to 80% less on platinum brands like Donna Karan, Comme des Garcons, Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, and Calvin Klein. The three-day bazaar runs from 10am to 8pm at the Formula One Pit Building, with a shuttle service across the street from the Adelphi. More details here: Club 21 Bazaar.
