The budget Candidasa, East Bali hotels and resorts listed here offer surprisingly good value - many of these establishments offer easy access to the sea (though not to beaches to the same standard as what you'd see in Tanjung Benoa or Kuta) and have amenities like infinity-edge pools and spa services.

Bali Shangrila Beach Club

The Shangrila's 24 guestrooms are divvied up into nine one-bedroom units, eight studio units, six hotel rooms and one luxury penthouse suite with a private rooftop patio furnished with a Jacuzzi. The rest of the units come with large verandahs or balconies providing views of the bay.
Divers can take advantage of the Shangrila's in-house dive center and weekly dive introductory sessions. Dining onsite comes from their Mr. Grumpy's deli and Sports Bar. A weekly barbecue party night takes place at the resort. Laundry service available for a fee.

The Water Garden Hotel

The Water Garden Hotel's private bungalows are set amidst lotus ponds and koi streams; you can feed the fish straight from your own verandah. The hotel's xx rooms are classed into deluxe bungalows; super-deluxe bungalows with Plasma TVs and king-size poster beds; and a Kul Kul Suite with adjoining bedrooms and a private pool. Dewa Bharata Bungalows

The Dewa Bharata's 24 guestrooms (set in a tropical garden) come with either air-conditioning or a fan; all come with a private bathroom with hot and cool running water. Not all rooms come with a sea view; ask for one of the four that do.
The Segara Restaurant serves a light breakfast, but not much more besides. There are plenty of warungs and other eating places within walking distance of the resort, anyway. Swimming pool available for guests' use.

Lotus Bungalows

The Lotus Bungalows resort offers twenty bungalows that all come with a Balinese-style open air bathroom and a verandah overlooking the sea. The resort sits somewhat at a remove from the main tourist drag of Candidasa, but the picturesque location makes up for it, not to mention the large swimming pool with a kids' section and a sunken bar.

The Rishi Candidasa

The beachfront Rishi Resort comes with 68 air-conditioned guestrooms with private spa tubs. Guests have a choice of beach, sea, and partial ocean views. Villarossa

The Natia
