Hotels in North Jakarta, Indonesia

Accommodations Near Ancol, Mangga Dua, and Fatahillah Square

North Jakarta is where Old Batavia started – the nucleus from which the modern megalopolis known as Jakarta spread out and grew. There are a number of good reasons to prefer a stay in North Jakarta: the shopping at Mangga Dua and Chinatown; the cultural haunts clustered around Fatahillah Square; and the fun to be had at Ancol. If any of these diversions appeal to you, then you’ll probably want to stay in one of the Jakarta hotels listed below.

For a list of other city diversions, read our list of Top Things to Do in Jakarta. For other accommodations in the rest of Indonesia's capital, read this list of hotels in Jakarta.

Ibis Jakarta Mangga Dua

The Ibis Jakarta Mangga Dua offers 214 standard guestrooms of somewhat smaller-than-usual size; on the other hand, the hotel's close proximity to the sprawling Mangga Dua shopping centers outweighs the compact room sizes. From the hotel, the rest of North Jakarta attractions can be reached easily via taxi; Ancol SeaWorld is fifteen minutes away.

Free (and fast) Wifi is included in the rooms. The La Table restaurant is open 24 hours, and serves both Western and Asian dishes. For more details, read our review of the Ibis Jakarta Mangga Dua.
