Armando explains the effects of white phosphorus on both metal and flesh. White phosphorus was used as a weapon against Corregidor's guns (and gunners) during the Japanese assault on Corregidor.

The gun barrel visible to the right is pitted from a white phosphorus attack - one can only imagine what it can do to your skin and muscles.
