The whole stretch of Orchard Road is served by three different MRT stations - Doby Ghaut Exchange (CC1/NE6/NS24), Orchard (NS22), and Somerset (NS23).
1. The Cathay
The Cathay, built in 1941, was Singapore's first high-rise. After its long-running cinema closed in 1998, the building was closed down and renovated. Today, the shopping mall that stands at the site retains the charming old façade while housing a varied mix of shops and restaurants.

2. The Centrepoint
The Centrepoint is particularly known for its grooming essentials and the huge Robinsons department store. Centrepoint holds bi-annual sales that keep 'em coming back year after year.

3. Delfi Orchard

4. DFS Galleria Scottswalk
You can't miss the DFS Galleria Scottswalk, with its stand-out red exterior. The ground floor is a meticulously recreated shophouse row offering nice (if pricey) souvenirs. Features three floors of upmarket brands from Burberry to Vera Wang.

5. Far East Plaza
Far East Plaza offers merchandise aimed towards the teen/young adult market. A good spot for bargains, with four levels of kiosks selling camera equipment, punk clothing, CDs, tattoo services, and a surprising amount of Japanese street fashion. Most shops don't display their prices, so bargaining is definitely a must.

6. Far East Shopping Centre
Compared to the rest of Singapore's malls, Far East Shopping Centre's age shows through, but this place offers a good selection of jewelry and art stores. House of Hung sells gold, diamonds and other gems. And Kwok Gallery's rare porcelain and jade sculptures are a treat to see (and buy).

7. Forum: the Shopping Mall
The Forum is a great place to shop for kids - with several specialty children's wear stores (Guess Kids, Ralph Lauren Children, Benetton, Hush Puppies, etc.) alongside toy stores, pediatric clinics, and kiddie bookshops like Twinkle Thinkers.

8. The Heeren Shops
The Heeren caters to trendy 20-somethings who long to stay cutting-edge current, with streetwear, quirky accessories, comicbooks, and shoes. If the base-driven techno doesn't scare you away, try exploring the 4th and 5th level Annex for its wide array of street and punk fashions.

10. Lucky Plaza
Lucky Plaza is older and a bit more run-down, but has a hell of a lot more character than other shopping areas in Singapore. Over 400 stores offer camera equipment, watches, sportswear, and luggage. Prepare your bargaining skills, as you'll be expected to haggle. Caveat emptor, as some shops are notorious for ripping off tourists.
