A high-rise hotel with a large swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and plenty of deck chairs for everyone: some people don't need much more from their hotels than that. Rooms are quite spacious and well-kept. Guests at the higher floors get spectacular views of the island. Gym, pool table, massage facilities, and water sport facilities available for guests.
The Royal Paradise's location is quite convenient, as it's only ten minutes' walk away from Patong beach, and only a four minute walk away from Bangla Road (the main artery in Patong's night life).

The Patong Bayshore offers adequate services for a 3-star hotel: clean rooms, friendly staff, and close proximity to the beach makes this place a great bargain for visitors.
It's a ten minute walk from the beach and the bars, which gives you enough distance from the hurly-burly should you want some quiet. Get a garden room to complete the illusion of being truly away from it all. The Bayshore's large swimming pool is a great place to hang out in, thanks to the adjacent bar.
The breakfast buffet is serviceable, but monotonous; there are plenty of dining options outside the hotel, anyway.

The Patong Lodge Hotel stands on a hill north of Patong Beach, and is a good fifteen minutes' walk away from the shore. This might be a problem for guests who prefer to be close to the action, but it's perfect for guests who want be near Patong without being overwhelmed by it.
The best rooms in the place overlook the pool area. The hotel's age shows in places, but rooms are clean and comfortable. It's easy to catch a ride outside the Hotel - tuktuks hang out in front of the hotel, and you can catch a bus to Phuket Town on the nearby road.

Horizon's guests have the run of two swimming pools, a health club, comfortable rooms, and good restaurants, all in a hotel two minutes' walk away from Patong Beach yet a good distance away - 20 minutes on foot - from the noise of Bangla Street.

Located in a quiet spot on north Patong, the Sunset Beach Resort offers great value for a three-star resort: just across the road from the beach, with great views of the sea from the bar.
Guests can choose from a total of 95 seaview and pool-view rooms. Apart from the standard hotel facilities (satellite TV; mini-bar; IDD phone; air-conditioning, money exchange, etc.), the hotel is notable for an especially delicious buffet breakfast, with a lot of variety.

Check out the Deevana if you're after close proximity to the action in Patong. It's only a few blocks away from raucous Bangla Road, and a good 15 minutes' walk to Patong Beach.
The resort is composed of a series of low rise single-storey concrete buildings, topped off by a sizeable free form swimming pool (with requisite poolside bar) in the middle of a landscaped garden. Facilities include a mini-mart and gift shop.

Larger-than-average rooms and a great breakfast buffet make the Andaman Beach Suites a great bargain for budget-minded travelers. The location - about three minutes' walk from the beach and five minutes' walk to the retail district - is surprisingly convenient. Having been one of the first hotels to rise in Patong, the Patong Resort scored a great location smack in the center of Patong Beach, close to the bar scene and the shopping district.
The recently built "Garden Wing" offers spectacular views over Patong Bay, but the rooms are smaller than in the rest of the hotel. The Patong Resort's facilities offer great value: guests have the run of an outdoor pool, tennis court, children's pool, health spa, and game room.
