Walking Tour of Wat Phra Kaeo and the Grand Palace, Bangkok

The gate in the west wall will take you to the back of the “bot”, or the sanctuary of the Emerald Buddha. To your left, you’ll see the upper terrace running parallel to the bot’s north side. You’ll also see six-metre-tall yaksha, or demons from the Buddhist epic Ramayana, standing guard from every gate of the temple.
